Akon

Thanks to his smash hit debut single "Locked Up", Akon has become a household name in the rap and r&b world. Born Alioune Badara Thiam, this Senegalese-American continues to make waves in all stretches of the music industry. Akon released his first album in 2004 which it self was a huge success, but he is most noted for having 11 songs reach the Billboard Hot 100 list between 2006-2007. Even with this incredible run, Akon continued to write, produce, and relase great music, and has made over 130 guest appearance on other artist's albums throughout the music industry.
