Nas

Born Nasir Jones in September of 1973, Nas, by the mid 90's had established himself as one of hip hop's greatest lyricists of all times. His debut album, "Illmatic", sent waves through the rap/hip hop community and is still today regarded as one of the best albums ever. His career started when he was approached by MC Search (then of 3rd Bass), who managed and quickly helped Nas earn a record deal with Columbia in 1992. Sixteen years and nine albums later, Nas is now signed with Def Jam records and plans on putting out several more legendary albums.
